Drake grew up in Marrero, or in the “Hood”, as he calls it. Drugs, violence, and many other temptations were all around him. But Drake dreamed of being in the NFL as a kid and early-on, watching football on TV and playing street ball sparked in him a desire to make it to professional football.

At the age of 12, like a lot of young men, Drake wrote his goal of going to the NFL in a school project. The difference between Drake and other boys his age? He did what it took to see that dream become a reality.

Drake describes this process as the "grind of greatness".

"The streets, the things that could have turned me another way were not as important as making a difference and achieving my dreams.”

It took years of training, hard work and dedication in the sport, and also being intentional and focused off the field and in school.

“I was blessed to accomplish my dream of making it to the NFL at age 21. I was someone who grew up in the hood, a quiet chunky kid. If I can achieve my dreams coming from that kind of environment, then I know you can. I’d love to help you achieve your dreams, believe, grind, and go get it.”
